The Ethics Committee will be helping to develop educational offerings and experiences to support new to experienced members identify and manage ethical situations and challenges. The Ethics Committee will also continue its work in reviewing, investigating, and addressing member violations of the IMC Code of Ethics. Join us to learn and do more. ICMCI UpdateICMCI – International Council of Management Consulting Institutes, recently announced our 2023 Annual Meeting of Delegates & 10th International CMC Conference which will take place in Amman, Jordan on the 11th, 12th, and 13th of October 2023, and this year the theme will be “AI-Driven Synergy: Exploring New Frontiers in Management Consulting”. The official website for the events was announced and launched in the week of July 20, 2023 where we can find all details for the 10th International CMC Conference, including discounted rates for early birds. Besides the professional aspect of the event, it is a good idea to check the touristic activities in the beautiful and historic country of Jordan, as the Jordan River, the ancient city of Petra (The “Rose City”, UNESCO World Heritage site), Wadi Rum Desert (“valley of the Moon”), the Dead Sea, the city of Jerash, among several others. In addition to these highlights, Jordan also has other attractions such as Mount Nebo, where Moses is said to have seen the Promised Land, and the archaeological sites of Madaba and Umm Qais. Designed for aspiring and early-career consultants, this course includes monthly peer group sessions to work on your business. July's peer group discussed how to identify your ideal client and target markets and how to differentiate your business from your competitors. We talked about the attributes of an ideal client, "buying" signals from a prospect, and evaluating consulting opportunities in various markets. We also talked about the importance of a consultant's mindset: do you have a mindset of scarcity or plenty? Do you want to collaborate with or compete against consultants who provide services similar to your services? What can you learn by studying these consultants: their professionalism, their values, and their ethics? IMC International Members are encouraged to explore and consider earning the Global CMC® through the ICMCI (The International Council of Management Consulting Institutes). Our IMC USA has successfully addressed the ICMCI’s Triennial Assessment for awarding the CMC® credential. The ICMCI’s CMC-Global Institute link is: https://www.cmcgi.org/content/cmc-designation. 2023 CMC® Triennial Recertification Form Recertification (https://imcu.memberclicks.net/cmc-renewal) continues with more CMC's keeping their credential current. Since July 1, 2022, one singular CMC® Recertification Form has been adopted that adheres to the already authorized format from the IMCUSA Board of Directors. A $70 administrative charge will be added to process any candidate’s Recertification form if submitted after the June 30 deadline. If you do not recertify, your IMC USA status will be changed from Certified Management Consultant (CMC®) to Professional. If you are a non-member or expired member, and you wish to join or renew, or apply for Certified Emeritus, please use the http://www.imcusa.org website and submit your contact information at the site.
