Dan spent over 20 years in enterprise software development: delivering customer value through technology solutions in health care services and health insurance administration. In 2011 he shifted to consulting when he was asked to create an internal consulting practice within Humana to bridge the gap between business and technology teams. This stage of his journey led him to the Institute of Management Consultants because he believes that CMC® demonstrates a serious commitment to the practice of management consulting. After a few years as an at-large member of IMC USA, relationships led him to the DFW chapter where he has served as a board member and webmaster since 2018.

Dan is married to his best friend, Cathy, and they live on a small farm near Louisville, Kentucky. They are enjoying the freedom of a new stage of family life with three grown children who are now partners in the family mission. In addition to business, Dan's other passions are snow skiing, music, and giving back to the community.
